US women's sabre team wins World Championship on Artos-Plane.
The US-American team has become women´s sabre team World Champion on the last day of the 2005 Fencing World Championship. In the finals they defeated the Russian team 45:36. Mariel Zagunis (USA, sabre): "Rebecca Ward is only 15. The last time we won a World Championship I also only was 15. That seems to bring us luck. I am both now - Olympic and World Champion and that's just a wonderful feeling. We so wanted to win and finally after five years we made it!"
